Jiang Wen

Born in Hangzhou, China, Wen graduated with a master’s degree from Beijing Film Academy. While still a student, she made her acting debut in Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles (2005) directed by Zhang Yimou. After graduation, Wen taught at her alma mater and continued her career as an actress. She has coordinated international film exchange projects including the Yokohama Student Film Festival and various Japan-China-South Korea co-productions. Since her visit to Japan in 2007, she has used the stage name Candy Jane and worked in film, television and theater. In addition to her wide range of activities as an actress, model, and producer, Wen continues to promote cultural exchange between Japan and China.
