Cho Sunhe

Born in 1986 in Tokyo, Cho Graduated with a master’s degree from the Department of Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her research in diaspora art centers on modern and contemporary art history of East Asia and examines alternative redefinition of history. Recent exhibitions include At Least for Now, the City Is There to Be Exploited (waitingroom/2015), Murmuring Political Science 1999.08.27– (blanClass/2015), and Human Research in East Asia/ Japan-Taiwan-Korea (Tokyo University of the Arts/2015). She has worked as the project coordinator for the opening exhibition at Asian Culture Complex (Asian Cultural Resource Center, Asian Culture Information Agency) in Gwangju (South Korea/2015), and as the assistant director of r:ead, Residence East Asia Dialogue (various cities in Asia/2013-2015). Currently she is the assistant curator of Aichi Triennale 2016.
