(日本語) 非記念碑的手法による記念碑のつくりかた

(日本語) 本事業のタイトルr:ead(=residency, East Asia, dialogue)からも明確なとおり、このプログラムは東アジアと括られる韓国、中国、台湾、日本を出自とするメンバーの「対話」と「思考」のための場であった。この前提条件となるフレームをいかにポジティブに捉え、且つ脱構築するように拡張するかを、日本チームとして招聘された下道基行と私は強く意識して取り組んだ。つまり、最終的なアウトプットとしての大文字の作品をこのレジデンスの場で生み出すことを目標とするのではなく、その数歩手前のひとつの方向に射程を定めるまでのプロセスを如何に築くかを意識し、隣人たちとの対話の場を積極的に楽しみ、不完全で断片的なものを敢えて晒していくことに注力した。モニュメンタル（＝象徴的）な「作品」というかたちを求められず、議論や思考の過程を透明化し公開していくことがのぞまれるのは非常に稀有な現場だ。それによって、直接「東アジア」ということが主題にならずとも、このような場それ自体がr:eadというプログラムを支える骨格となっていると言える。

(简体字) 12月22日早晨，从曼谷归来，在羽田机场一落地便直接前往靖国神社。接着，直接在神社的鸟居前面与下道基行碰头。他刚刚结束了持续了一周的READ旅居创作计划，而我由于一直在曼谷而无法参加。看到满地飘落着金黄色的树叶的大银杏，便让人深感今年日本的冬天已经来临。这个地方同样与全年如夏的泰国竟然同属亚洲区域，这是非常让人难以置信的。在这几年中通过参加着与亚洲各国有紧密往来的活动，我一直在思考，此处的“亚洲”究竟是一个怎样的概念。

Born 1978 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, Hattori received his MA in Architecture from Waseda University in 2006. Based in Aomori since 2009, he has also lived and worked in Tokyo, Barcelona and Yamaguchi City. His artistic activities / productions in various cities explore ways to make life richer and more meaningful through creativity. As curator at the Aomori Contemporary Art Centre [ACAC], at Aomori Public University, he organizes the Artist-in-Residency program. He also runs the alternative art space, Midori Art Center [MAC] to provide a platform for activities and events that are different from what public institutions tend to produce.
His recent activities include a one-year Artist-in-Residence program, Re-Modernologio (Aomori Contemporary Art Centre / MAC, 2011-2012), that re-examined daily life after the Great East Japan Earthquake. He is the curator of the Towada Oirase Art Festival SURVIVE ~ Time Hoppers on the Earth (Towada Art Center and Oirase area, 2013) and the traveling exhibition Media/Art Kitchen ~Reality Distortion Field, held in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Bangkok, 2013-2014.
